Micheal Jackson Was Right

Updated: Oct 6, 2018

This afternoon my family and I went to grab a bite from Taco bell. By the way this is the first ever BARDess Social Justice Issues Blog so this could get interesting. Black and white....We have carried division in our DNA all the way from the beginning of slavery, to today. All because of the color of our skin. It's funny because, it's just a color. Like, really, just a color. When you allow a person to give you limitations based upon that, you become their slave. You have taken on a slave mentality that is permanently there for the rest of your life.

I used to think, man, being a black women in America is going to be tough! Life is handed to no one. Every shape, color, and size of a person, if you breathe and you're classified as a homo sapien in this matrix then you have to find a way to live. Yes, EVERYONE knows that the system is ran by the white man but when you want something you take it and that goes for equality.

We have come along way as a black race and some of us are still stuck with the same mentality as we did in the fields and that is why we are treated the way we are. I used to let the fact that white people said the 'N' word get to me. Whether they use it in a term of brother hood or hatred I was ready to fight, even when my bark was more viscous than my bite.

Back to Taco Bell. The man speaking us through the intercom in the drive thru came off instantly a nonchalant and sarcastic about our order. You see, we're vegan so we had to make a few substitutions here and there. When we did, he became difficult so my sister suggested we just leave. So we told him we would go straight through without ordering anything. My sister then decided we should just drive straight over there lawn because he gave us attitude, and that he knew we were black. We get a stereotype as a race of being wild and reckless because of people like the guy at taco bell provoke us to do so. So we become the bad guys, because of our retaliations. If there is no fire do not make one. If we were to go over the grass like she had said we would have ruined the OWNERS property not the cashiers. They need each customer to come through that line to order, so it was HIS loss anyway not ours. So for a suggestion such as that to come out of her mouth is a sign of extreme ignorance. Ignorance of the fact that she is bigger than a misunderstood order.

We as beings of all colors get worked up over ridiculous things. You think a guy with out limbs cares if he's black or white? Or how about a person with vitiligo? We can be more powerful than racism. It wouldn't exist if it weren't for history books or corrupted beings to say it did. 'One Nation Under God' the whole entire pledge is a lie! America has never been One, we have always been broken. A broken country with so much but so little to give. We have a habit of taking what never belonged to us and having a 'reptilian' mindset over it, which just means territorial.

Racism is just another way to enslave you.

To enslave your mind.
